Saturday Night Makeup

I thought I would share this look with you as I was quite pleased with how it turned out.

I started with the PUR correcting primer that I received in my beauty advent calendar.  I then followed this with the Nars Translucent Powder using the Wayne Goss method for making foundation last, which I wrote another blog on, see Powder before Liquid? Foundation tip 🙂 for more information on that!  I followed this with my Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer.

I then applied a little more powder, mostly to my T-zone and finished the base with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders in Dim light, Radiant Light and Incandescent light and I applied Laura Mercier’s Lush Nectarine blush to my cheeks.

Eyes were first primed with Smashbox 24hr Photo finish primer and this was set with Buff Pearl from the Laura Mercier palette.  I then used Fresco from the same palette as my crease / transition colour.   Using a flat eyeshadow brush and a spritz of Mac’s Fix+ I applied the Bella Pierre shimmer powder, I believe it’s the shade Earth and I patted this onto the mobile lid.   I then used my 24/7 Urban Decay pencil in Stag for eyeliner and completed the eyes with Estee Lauder’s Sumptuous Lash Mascara.

Eyebrows were the usual Mac Automatic Brow Pencil in Brunette with Pixi by Petra’s Brow Tamer which I also got in my advent calendar.

For Lips I used the Rosie for Autograph lip colour, again from the calendar which is a gorgeous subtle pink colour.
